1.  Washington Online Learning Institute (WOLI) offers several programs of interest to healthcare paralegals and paralegal students:

a.  Personal Injury Law Specialist Certificate;

b.  Probate and Elder Law Specialist Certificate; and

c.  Legal Nurse Consulting Certificate Program (there is also a Senior Legal Nurse Consulting Certificate Program available).

2. The National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA), now offers an Advanced Certification in different areas related to healthcare law.

All these specialties require a paralegal to take the Personal Injury Core Course, but then there are eight different subspecialties to choose from:

Individual Medical Liability, Entity Medical Liability, Wrongful Death, Workers Comp, Automobile Accidents, Product Liability, Premises Liability, and Intentional Torts.

Registration for the course includes the core courses and one of the specialy courses. Twenty hours of CLE credit are granted upon successful completion.
